I was swimming in my teacup,
When I saw a funny thing,
A gravy boat came sailing,
I heard the sailors sing.
"We sail upon the seven teas,
With our teaspoon oars,
Eating the finest custard pies,
And drinking through cheese straws."
The Captain was a biscuit,
With a tea bag on his back,
The oars men were all short breads,
Sitting in a stack.
They hit a great white sugar-berg,
How their boat did rock,
The Captain fell over board,
And was rescued with a sock.
"This tea is much too dangerous,"
The sailors all did shout,
With scrambling legs and flailing arms,
From my tea cup they climbed out.
Now I have a sailing boat,
Silver spoons for my oars,
I keep look out for the sugar-bergs,
And drink lemonade through cheese straws.
