Barnacled Rocks

There I stood,
At the edge,
Of the sand,
Barnacled rock,
In each hand.

Waves beckoning,
Throw them in,
Give them flight,
In early morn,
Dew light.

Cool sand shifts,
Beneath bare,
Toes curling,
Catapult arms,
Unfurling.

Rocks flying,
Through misty,
Startled air,
Sea breeze blowing,
Tousled hair.

Rocks impact,
The serene,
Sparkling sea,
Immersed in life,
Forever free.

Into The Deep

First we venture into the deep,

Where we find the seaweed sheep,

You want to see the coral cow?

Into the shallow we go now.

Then seek the under water caves,

In the dark the octo-puss waves,

Surface to greet the barnicle dog,

He wags his tail in sea foam fog,

In the driftwood here afloat,

Splashes the salty sea shell goat,

And now back to our cosy home,

Together we will slowly roam,

What is that in the dinner dish?

I think it must be fish!
