Emerald Forest

by Hazel (age 9)
Ferns so green on the ground,
Birds sing a musical sound,
Trees stretching high,
Going to the sky,
Beautiful forest around me,
Like a green emerald sea.

Dappled Shade

by Hazel and Angela
Light cascade,
To dappled shade,
Trees above,
A living ceiling,
So majestic,
Am I dreaming?
Song birds rest,
In tree tops high,
Nature's melody,
Into the sky

A Rocky Path

by Felix, age 7
A rocky path tumbles,
A rocky path disappears,
A soft path,
Is lined with trees.

In The Forest

In the forest,
Silence talks,
Of days that last forever.
Stand still,
Look about,
What time are you living in?
Is this the Jurrasic era?
Will an Allosaurus be eating you?
Is this the middle ages?
Will a knight come charging through?
Or have you slept for a thousand years?
Whatever will you see?
As long as the forest stands,
Time roams free.
